Der DNA Genehmigungsprozess für das Wasserkraftwerk ist seit 10.10.12 erteilt. Das 2,75 MW Wasserkraftwerk kann gebaut werden. Small-scale Hydropower PoA A CDM Designated Operational Entity is currently validating the ‘Philippine Small-scale Hydropower PoA’ (Programme of Activities) that targets the issuance of carbon credits under the CDM.
The first CDM Programme Activity (CPA) being submitted under the PoA is the 2.75MW Upper Siffu project from the portfolio of Asiapac Green Renewable Energy. The portfolio includes projects from Asiapac's sibling companies Southeast Asia Renewable Power and Crestford View Generation Corporation.
Vergel 3 Consult in Manila prepared the feasibility studies for five projects from these companies that will constitute CPAs under the PoA.
Based on our assumptions, this portfolio alone could generate over 1 million CERs over the PoA lifetime. However, as other developers of small-scale hydropower projects in the Philippines are eligible to be included, and are already expressing interest to join the PoA, we expect the CER volumes to become much larger.
